1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the West Coast Roleplay store ("Store"), accessible via westcoastrp.net. By making a purchase through our Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
The Store is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We are not a registered company. For any queries, please contact us via our Discord server or through westcoastrp.net.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to make a purchase from the Store. This is in line with Discord's minimum age requirement, as our products are delivered via Discord.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian before making any purchase. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you meet these age requirements.
3. Products and Delivery
3.1 What We Sell We sell Discord Role assignments which, once granted to your Discord account, automatically provide access to associated in-game content and features within the West Coast Roleplay FiveM server.
3.2 Delivery Upon successful payment, your purchased Discord Role will be assigned to your linked Discord account automatically via our bot system. Delivery is typically instant, but may take up to 24 hours in the event of a technical issue.
3.3 Digital Nature of Products All products sold through the Store are digital goods. By completing your purchase, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that delivery begins immediately upon payment confirmation, and that you are purchasing a digital service.
3.4 Access Requirements To receive and use your purchased product, you must: - Have an active Discord account linked to our server - Be a member of the West Coast Roleplay Discord server - Have an active FiveM installation
We are not responsible for any failure to receive your product caused by your failure to meet these requirements.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Currency All prices displayed in the Store are in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated. If you are purchasing from outside the UK, your payment provider may apply currency conversion charges, for which we are not responsible.
4.2 Payment Processing All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store, handle, or have access to your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4.3 Taxes As we are not a VAT-registered business, no VAT is charged on our products. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your own jurisdiction.
5. No Refund Policy
5.1 All Sales Are Final Due to the instant digital delivery nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or chargebacks once a purchase has been completed and the Discord Role has been assigned.
5.2 UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 — Digital Content Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have certain rights regarding digital content. By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 once delivery has begun.
5.3 Exceptions We will only consider a remedy (such as re-delivery or, at our sole discretion, a refund) in the following circumstances: - You were charged but did not receive your Discord Role, and the issue cannot be resolved within 72 hours of you contacting us - A duplicate charge occurred due to a payment processing error
5.4 How to Report a Delivery Issue If you believe you are entitled to a remedy under Section 5.3, please contact us via the West Coast Roleplay Discord server within 7 days of your purchase, providing your order confirmation and Discord username.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with Stripe or your bank without first contacting us to attempt resolution, we reserve the right to permanently revoke your Discord Roles and ban you from the West Coast Roleplay server. We will provide all relevant evidence to Stripe or your bank to contest any fraudulent chargeback.
7. Bans and Revocation of Access
7.1 Server Bans West Coast Roleplay is a private community. We reserve the right to ban any user from the server at our sole discretion, including for violations of our server rules.
7.2 No Refund on Ban If you are banned from the West Coast Roleplay server or Discord for any reason, including a violation of our community rules, you will not be entitled to a refund for any purchased products. Access to purchased Discord Roles and in-game content will be revoked upon ban without compensation.
7.3 Game and Discord Rule Violations We reserve the right to remove purchased Discord Roles and the in-game access they provide if you violate our server rules, FiveM's Terms of Service, or Discord's Terms of Service.
8. Modifications to Products and Services
8.1 Right to Modify We reserve the right to add, remove, change, or otherwise alter any aspect of a purchased product or its associated in-game features, Discord Role permissions, or content at any time, with or without prior notice, and without providing a refund. This includes but is not limited to changes to vehicles, skins, permissions, scripts, or any other in-game content associated with a purchased Role.
8.2 Nature of Purchase When you purchase a Discord Role from the Store, you are purchasing access to that Role and its associated content as it exists at the time of purchase. You acknowledge that the content and features linked to that Role may change over time as part of the ongoing development and operation of the West Coast Roleplay server.
8.3 No Guarantee of Continued Features We do not guarantee that any specific feature, item, vehicle, skin, or permission will remain available indefinitely. The removal or alteration of a feature does not entitle you to a refund or any other remedy, except where required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in cases where a significant and material degradation of the digital content occurs through our fault, and we have failed to provide a reasonable remedy within a reasonable time.
8.4 Server Discontinuation In the event that the West Coast Roleplay server is permanently shut down or discontinued, no refunds will be issued for previously purchased products. For further information, view Section 12.
9. Intellectual Property
All content associated with the West Coast Roleplay Store, including but not limited to logos, branding, and descriptions, is the property of West Coast Roleplay. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of our content without prior written permission.
FiveM and its associated trademarks are the property of their respective owners. West Coast Roleplay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cfx.re, Rockstar Games, or Take-Two Interactive.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
10.1 UK GDPR We are committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
10.2 What Data We Collect When you make a purchase, we or our payment processor (Stripe) may collect: - Your name and email address - Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe) - Your Discord username and ID
10.3 How We Use Your Data Your data is used solely to process your order, deliver your product, and manage your account in our community. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as required by law or as part of payment processing via Stripe.
10.4 Your Rights Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data held by us. However, please note the following important limitations:
Any data removal request submitted to us extends only to the data we directly hold, which is limited to your email address and Discord username/ID associated with your account.
We do not hold or control your order logs, payment records, or purchase history. This information is stored and managed by Stripe, our payment processor, who acts as an independent data controller. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your payment and order data, you must contact Stripe directly via their Privacy Centre at stripe.com/privacy.
To exercise your data rights with us, please contact us via the West Coast Roleplay Discord server.
10.5 Data Retention We retain purchase records for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with UK financial record-keeping requirements.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law, we shall not be liable for: - Any loss of access to in-game content resulting from server downtime, FiveM updates, or Discord outages - Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Store or its products - Any losses caused by third-party services, including Stripe, Discord, or FiveM
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by UK law.
12. Meaning of "Lifetime" and "Permanent" Access
12.1 Definition Where any product, listing, Discord Role, or description in the Store uses the terms "Lifetime", "Permanent", "Forever", or any similar language implying indefinite access, such terms mean access for as long as the West Coast Roleplay server remains operational. These terms do not guarantee access for the natural lifetime of the purchaser, nor do they constitute a guarantee of continued service for any fixed or minimum period of time.
12.2 No Minimum Operational Guarantee We make no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the West Coast Roleplay server, Discord server, Store, or any associated service will remain operational for any specific duration. We reserve the full and unconditional right to suspend, close, or permanently cease operations at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice.
12.3 Closure Without Compensation In the event that we cease operations, whether temporarily or permanently, no refund, compensation, credit, or alternative remedy will be provided to any purchaser in respect of any previously purchased product, regardless of how recently the purchase was made or how long the product was described as providing access for.
12.4 Acknowledgement By purchasing any product from the Store, including those described as providing "Lifetime" or "Permanent" access, you explicitly acknowledge and accept that such access is conditional upon the continued operation of the West Coast Roleplay server, and that you have no claim against us should operations cease for any reason. This acknowledgement forms a material part of the agreement between us and is a condition of sale.
12.5 Consumer Rights Reservation Nothing in this section is intended to, nor shall it, exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the Store following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to check these Terms periodically.
